GE Energy Smart bulbs
GE® Energy Smart Bulbs

Changing a light bulb is one of the easiest actions that collectively makes a big difference. Most GE Energy Smart light bulbs provide the same light as the incandescent bulb they replace, and they come in shapes and sizes for nearly every room and fixture. Replacing ordinary bulbs with GE Energy Smart light bulbs will:

Save Energy - they use up to 75% less energy. Less energy consumption at home leads to lower electric bills and less air pollution created by power plants.
Save Money - GE Energy Smart™ bulbs save $17 to $130* in energy costs.
Last Longer - they last up to 10 times longer, perfect for hard-to-reach fixtures.

Our Commitment to the Planet
GE Energy Smart light bulbs are ENERGY STAR® qualified products of ecomagination.
Ecomagination is GE’s companywide commitment to imagining and building innovative solutions that benefit our customers and society at large.

For example, by replacing a standard 60 watt light bulb with a 13 watt GE Energy Smart bulb that provides the same amount of light, you’ll save $47 in electricity costs over the 10,000 hour rated life of the bulb.  (Based on .10 cents per kWh.)

YOU x 200 million =
If every Wal-Mart shopper used one of these 13 watt GE Energy Smart bulbs in place of an ordinary 60 watt bulb, over the rated life of the bulb, we would prevent enough CO2 emissions to equal taking over 11 million cars off the road for a year.* This is based on data from the EPA’s Climate Change Action Plan.
