Stuffed Cheese Burgers

Stuffed Cheese Burgers

Ingredients

2lb.  lean ground beef 
1 1/2tsp.  fajita seasoning 
1/2tsp.  pepper 
4slices Monterey Jack with jalapeño cheese 
6whole grain hamburger buns, toasted 
6lettuce leaves 
6tomato slices 
Red onion slices, avocado, salsa (optional) 

Directions

Combine ground beef, seasoning and pepper; shape into 12 equal-size patties
Top 6 of the patties with cheese, tearing cheese slices as needed to fit patties; top with 6 remaining patties, pressing edges to seal
Grill over medium-high heat 8 to 10 minutes on each side or until done (170°F). Serve on buns with lettuce and tomato. Top with onion, avocado and salsa, if desired.
