Heat grill to medium direct heat. Meanwhile, blend butter, oil, cinnamon, salt, pepper and cloves in small bowl. Peel apples, if desired. Cut apples into 1/2-inch-thick round slices. Arrange apples and onion on grill in single layer. Grill, covered, 2 minutes per side.
Brush with half of butter mixture. Turn and brush with remaining butter mixture. Grill, covered, 7 to 11 minutes or until tender, turning once. Serve with pork or chicken, if desired.
