Spiced Apples and Onions Grill

Ingredients

2tbsp.  melted butter or margarine 
2tsp.  oil 
1/2tsp.  cinnamon 
1/4tsp.  salt 
1/4tsp.  pepper 
1/8tsp.  ground cloves 
1Braeburn or Gala apple, cored 
1Granny Smith apple, cored 
1sweet onion, cut into 1/2-inch slices 

Directions

Heat grill to medium direct heat. Meanwhile, blend butter, oil, cinnamon, salt, pepper and cloves in small bowl. Peel apples, if desired. Cut apples into 1/2-inch-thick round slices. Arrange apples and onion on grill in single layer. Grill, covered, 2 minutes per side.
Brush with half of butter mixture. Turn and brush with remaining butter mixture. Grill, covered, 7 to 11 minutes or until tender, turning once. Serve with pork or chicken, if desired.
