Sausage Ring

Sausage Ring

Ingredients

12oz.  pork sausage
1/4cup  chopped green bell pepper
1clove garlic, minced
1/4tsp.  ground black pepper
1(3-oz.)  pkg. cream cheese, softened
1tbsp.  chopped fresh parsley
1(8-oz.)  tube refrigerated crescent rolls
1 egg, lightly beaten

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease pizza pan; set aside. In skillet, cook sausage, chopped green pepper, garlic and pepper until meat is completely browned and green pepper is tender; drain. Cut cream cheese into cubes and add to meat mixture. Stir over low heat until cream cheese melts; stir in parsley. Set aside.
Remove crescent rolls from tube and separate dough along perforations into 8 separate triangle shapes. On prepared baking sheet arrange triangles in a circle with tips pointing out and corners overlapping. (Completed design will resemble a “sun” with a hole in center.)
Spoon sausage mixture onto overlapping portions of rolls, leaving tips bare. Fold each tip up over sausage mixture and tuck under center edges, forming a ring. Brush dough with egg. Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown.
