Mushroom, Tomato Sauce Penne Pasta

Ingredients

1 1/2cups  sliced mushrooms 
2tbsp.  olive oil 
1cup  chopped onion 
1large clove garlic, minced 
4cups  diced fresh plum tomatoes (about 10 medium tomatoes) 
1/4tsp.  dried Italian seasoning 
116-oz.  pkg. penne pasta 
1/2cup  shredded Parmesan and Romano cheese 
1/4cup  chopped Italian parsley 

Directions

In 12-inch sauté pan over medium heat, brown mushrooms in olive oil. Add onion and garlic; cook until onion is tender. Add tomatoes and Italian seasoning; bring to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Pour into serving bowl. Spoon sauce over pasta. Top with cheese and parsley; toss to blend.
