Grilled Cheese with Apples and Canadian Bacon

Ingredients

4large slices crusty artisan sourdough bread, sliced 1/2 inch thick 
4oz.  pepper Jack cheese, cut in thin slices 
1/2small apple, cored and thinly sliced 
4slices Canadian bacon 
1tbsp.  butter 

Directions

Cover 2 bread slices with cheese. Arrange apple slices over cheese. Arrange bacon over apple slices. Cover with remaining bread slices.
Melt butter in medium skillet. Add sandwiches. Cook over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until bread is golden brown and cheese melts. Press sandwiches down with spatula while cooking. Cut each sandwich diagonally in half to serve.
