Crispy Hikers' Snack Bars

Ingredients

1cup  light brown sugar 
1cup  light corn syrup 
1/2cup  peanut butter 
5cups  crisp rice cereal 
2cups  pretzel sticks, crushed 
1cup  semisweet chocolate morsels (6 oz.) 
1/2cup  dried apples, chopped 

Directions

In large saucepan combine sugar and corn syrup; cook over high heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter. Add cereal, pretzels, morsels and dried apples. Stir until well coated. Press mixture into prepared pan. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
