Spread 2 teaspoons butter on each of 2 bread slices. Top with 2 ham slices and half the cheese. Cover with remaining 2 bread slices.
Place sandwiches on baking sheet. Place in preheated broiler, 4 inches from heat. Toast 1 to 2 minutes per side or until cheese melts and bread is golden brown. Cut each sandwich diagonally in half.
