Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease 2-quart quiche dish or 11x7x2-inch baking dish. Place cherries in dish; set aside.
In medium bowl, whisk together cream, eggs, flour, 1/2 cup of the granulated sugar, melted butter, vanilla and salt; pour over cherries. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup of the granulated sugar.
Bake 1 hour or until set. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired, and serve warm.
