Cream Cheese-Filled Cupcakes

Ingredients


118.25-oz.  pkg. chocolate cake mix (with pudding in the mix) 
1cup  heavy cream 
1/3cup  powdered sugar 
18-oz  container whipped cream cheese 
1/3cup  miniature chocolate chips 
 

Directions

  1. Prepare cake mix and bake according to directions for 24 cupcakes. Cool completely.
  2. Beat heavy cream in large bowl at medium-high speed of electric mixer 30 seconds or until slightly thickened. Increase to high speed, gradually adding powdered sugar. Beat until whipped cream consistency. Gently fold in cheese and chocolate chips by hand.
  3. Cut a cone-shaped plug about 1 1/2 inches round by 1-inch deep in center of top of each cupcake; pull out plug. Fill hole with 2 to 3 tablespoons cream filling. Gently press plug over filling to form cap.
