Bonnie Plants^™ come to you fresh and healthy in exclusive 100% biodegradable “peat pots”.  They’re made from recycled paper, water and peat moss that’s the same type used to supplement soils. Bonnie peat pots help prevent transplant shock by allowing more of the roots to remain intact as they’re planted and encourage healthy root development.  They’re the only pots of their kind available.

This year, if every one of Wal-Mart’s 200 million customers planted just one peat pot instead of a plastic pot, over 7 million pounds of plastic would be eliminated from landfills.  The use of peat pots creates a double energy savings, too, by reducing the energy and petroleum required to manufacture plastic pots.

Bonnie peat pots save gardeners energy, too, because they’re easy to plant. By just cutting off the recyclable wrapper, carefully tearing off the bottom half of the pot and dropping it in the planting hole, the plant and peat pot are ready to go in the ground. No plastic pots for the trash.
