Years ago, Silk set out to make the world a healthier place. That begins with producing deliciously nourishing soymilk, and extends to supporting the health and well-being of our communities and our environment.

True to our spirit of health, Silk was among the first U.S. brands to commit to green manufacturing, off-setting the electricity used to make our products with clean, renewable wind energy. To date, our wind energy purchase represents the environmental equivalent of planting more than 22,000 acres of trees, and our efforts have prevented 86,000 tons of greenhouse gas from polluting our atmosphere. That’s a whole lot of clean from a few little soybeans!

Last year, we carried our wind energy commitment one step further, launching our Green Caps for Green Energy public education campaign. The program touched an incredible 37 million people, and helped Silk support enough new green wind energy to fuel more than 500 homes for a year. Naturally, we’re bringing Green Caps back this spring.
