SunChips^® Green Energy:  At SunChips^®, we support renewable energy through the purchase of Green Energy Credits that match 100% of the electricity needed to produce SunChips^® snacks in the U.S.  Electricity is one source of energy used to produce SunChips^® snacks, and our purchase of green energy credits helps drive the development of additional renewable energy capacity. If every Wal-Mart shopper bought a bag of SunChips^® snacks, the green energy credits purchased to make these snacks would match the electricity needed to power over half a million homes for one day.

SunChips^® Solar Efforts:  Beginning in 2008, solar collectors installed at our SunChips^® plant in Modesto, CA, began to provide energy to help make SunChips^® snacks.  Nationally, we have 8 plants that produce SunChips^® snacks; our plant in Modesto, CA is one them.
