A quick quiz on skincare

Get the Glow Skin Care
It’s true — the more you know, the better you can be to your skin. So read on. You might learn something. And your skin will thank you for it.

True or false: The number one cause of dry skin is insufficient water intake.
False. There are a lot of reasons why people have dry skin. You can get dry skin if you wash with a cleanser that’s too strong. Poor nutrition and a harsh environment can also make your skin dry. It can even be a genetic thing. The key is to know how to treat it. The best way to do that is to use a lotion with the right amount of moisturizing ingredients like glycerin.

True or false: Taking lots of showers and baths can moisturize your skin.
Nope. Exposure to water, especially hot water, for a long period of time can actually remove natural skin moisturizers from the skin, and that can make it dry.  So if you want beautiful skin, you should take short showers and baths, and use warm water instead of hot. And the second you step out of the water and dry yourself off, you should put on some cream or lotion to lock the moisture into your skin.

True or false: Foundations with sunscreen will protect my face from the sun.
Kind of true, but it’s not enough. Don't just rely on a foundation with sunscreen — it won't give you the right amount of UV protection. Instead, use a moisturizer with SPF under your favorite base makeup. Better yet, switch to a tinted face lotion with built-in SPF and you can swap three products — moisturizer, sunscreen and foundation — for one.
